How they started
Reebok started out out by becoming a sister company to someone called JW Foster and Sons. Then in 1958 they branched out and decided to become their own company called Reebok. They picked the name Reebok because it means African Gazelle. And they wanted it to be about depict speed, style, and grace. Then in 1979 at a Chicago international sneaker trade show Paul Fireman noticed Reebok and thought it had potential to be great. He immediately made deals with them to sell them in the US.
